Trainer Notes and Slides
D300 Presentation, Dublin 22nd February 2010
March 1st, 2010
I added content to the presentations supplied by Nikon UK for all the courses I ran in Ireland last week, especially the D300 and Pro DSLR courses. I saw a few gaps that I thought needed some embellishment. For the benefit of those that attended the Burlington Hotel, here is what has been added; An explanation of Factory Defaults and which of these I would recommend changing and why; several new slides deal with resolution and file format issues along with an explanation of the difference between Image File and Open Image size; the slides covering White Balance did not focus in detail upon the importance of WB Pre-set measurement so I have added a step-by-step guide here; I cut back on some slides dealing with Picture Controls and the Scene Recognition System; in the section dealing with Auto Focus – I emphasised the link between the various function buttons and the Custom Setting options when looking at the menus plus added an explanation of AF Modes and AF Area Modes; although a “demo” of the Creative Lighting System is covered in the presentation, I added slides to illustrate Flash modes alongside an explanation of general Speedlight use.
